Convert One Page of a PDF to JPG (2026)

Most “PDF to JPG” tools render every page and hand you a ZIP even when you needed page 3 for a form. FlashKit Tools’ PDF to JPG exporter lets you type a page number or click a thumbnail. When exactly one page is selected, the download is a single JPEG — not a ZIP of one file. The PDF is not uploaded.

This page is the one-page how-to. For DPI math and when 150 vs 300 is enough, see PDF to JPG 150 vs 300 DPI. For a per-page KB cap, see target size per page. Extracting a one-page PDF instead of a picture is split a PDF in the browser.

Export one PDF page as JPG

Click a thumbnail or type the page number. One page = one JPG. 72 / 150 / 300 DPI.

How page selection works

After you drop an unlocked PDF, the tool inspects the page count in this tab (the same encrypted-file refusal as Split). Type a range such as 3, 1-3, 5, or all, or click thumbnails. Thumbnails render after the file is added so the first paint stays the prerendered article. Encrypted or password PDFs stop with an error; the tool never asks for a password.

Convert then encodes only the selected pages with PDF.js. One page → one page-00N.jpg download. Two or more pages → a ZIP plus per-page downloads.

Step-by-step

  1. Unlock a password PDF in a desktop reader first if needed.
  2. Open PDF to JPG and drop the file.
  3. Clear the default range and type the page you want, or click that thumbnail so the selection reads “1 of N pages selected.”
  4. Set quality near 90% and DPI: 72 for a chat still, 150 for a letter, 300 for print. Convert and download the JPG.

Pixel size of one A4 page

Pixels = PDF points × (DPI ÷ 72). A typical A4 page (595.28 × 841.89 pt) is about 595 × 842 px at 72 DPI, 1240 × 1754 px at 150 DPI, and 2480 × 3508 px at 300 DPI. A landscape A4 page swaps those numbers. A letter-size page (612 × 792 pt) is 1275 × 1650 at 150 DPI. Those are the numbers the canvas uses — not a 1× / 2× / 3× guess.

Lab: one page, one JPG

We exported page 2 of a three-page A4 PDF (page 3 was landscape). Typing 2 and pressing Enter left “1 of 3 pages selected.” Convert at 150 DPI downloaded page-002.jpg — not a ZIP — 1240×1754 px, 27,259 bytes, in 233 ms. Selecting all three pages then downloaded pdf-pages.zip (94,216 bytes). Encrypted PDFs were not part of this run; the inspect step rejects them the same way Split does.

Limits

  • Rasterizing flattens text, vectors, and form fields. This is not OCR.
  • A 25 MB warning is about phone RAM, not a server quota. Export one page at 72 DPI on a small device.
  • CMYK or unusual fonts may look different from Acrobat.

Going the other way — that JPG back into a packet — is JPG to PDF. If the JPEG is still heavy for email, run it through the image compressor.
