Convert PDF to JPG with Target Size Per Page (50 KB, 100 KB) — 2026

Sometimes you need PDF pages as individual images, but those images must be under a certain size — 50 KB for a WhatsApp group, 100 KB for a web upload, or 200 KB for a gallery. FlashKit's PDF to JPG converter now includes target size mode: each page is compressed to fit your specified KB limit.
How Target Size Per Page Works
- Open the PDF to JPG tool.
- Switch to "Target Size" mode (instead of Quality mode).
- Select a preset: 50 KB, 100 KB, 200 KB, or 500 KB per page.
- Set the initial render scale (2× or 3× for better starting quality).
- Drop your PDF and wait for conversion.
- Download individual pages or all as a ZIP.
Each page is first rendered at your chosen scale, then compressed to meet the target using quality reduction and dimension scaling if needed.
PDF to JPG with Size Limit
Export each page to 50 KB, 100 KB, or 200 KB. Runs in your browser.
Open PDF to JPGUse Cases
- WhatsApp sharing: Compress pages to 100 KB for quick sending without WhatsApp's automatic compression.
- Web galleries: Create thumbnail images from PDF pages.
- Archive submissions: Some portals accept images but not PDFs.
- Social media: Extract a page as an image for Instagram Stories or LinkedIn posts.
Quality vs. Size Trade-off
Smaller targets mean lower quality:
- 50 KB: Suitable for thumbnails, previews, or text-heavy pages.
- 100 KB: Good for documents, forms, and simple graphics.
- 200 KB: Better for photos and detailed pages.
- 500 KB: Near-original quality for most PDFs.
If a page has complex graphics, it may not compress to 50 KB without visible quality loss. The tool shows "Within target" or "Exceeds target" for each page.
Initial Render Scale
The PDF is first rendered to a canvas at 2× (144 DPI) or 3× (216 DPI). Higher scale means more pixels to start with, allowing better quality at the target size. For small targets like 50 KB, 2× is usually enough. For larger targets, 3× preserves more detail.
Privacy
Conversion happens entirely in your browser using PDF.js and the Canvas API. Your PDF is never uploaded to any server. This matters for contracts, statements, and private documents.
