India EMI / loan calculator

Enter principal, annual interest rate, and tenure in years or months. The page uses the standard reducing-balance EMI formula used by most Indian retail loan illustrations.

This is arithmetic, not an offer. Lenders add processing fees, GST on fees, insurance, prepayment rules, and sometimes a different day-count. Confirm the sanction letter before you commit.

How to Use

  1. Type the loan amount in rupees (for example 10,00,000).
  2. Enter the annual interest rate your bank quoted.
  3. Set tenure in years or months.
  4. Read EMI, total interest, and the first-year amortization. Expand the full table if you need every month.

Key Features

  • Reducing-balance EMI and total interest
  • INR formatting (en-IN)
  • Amortization summary (first 12 months or full tenure)
  • Runs locally — no loan data stored

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a bank EMI quote?

No. It is a planning calculator. Your lender’s amortization can differ by a few rupees per month because of rounding or fee capitalization.

Does it include GST or processing fees?

No. Add fees on top, or use the GST calculator for tax on a disclosed fee.

Home loan vs personal loan?

Same formula. Only rate and tenure change. Prepayment and tax benefits are not modeled.
