EXIF / GPS photo stripper

Phones embed GPS, camera model, and timestamps in JPEG EXIF. That can leak a home address when you list an item online. This tool lists JPEG GPS when it can parse it, then redraws the pixels onto a canvas and exports JPEG, PNG, or WebP — which drops those tags.

It does not blur faces, crop backgrounds, or hide text in the picture. HEIC/RAW files that the browser cannot decode will fail. Re-encoding is lossy for JPEG/WebP.

How to Use

  1. Drop a JPEG, PNG, WebP, or GIF.
  2. Read any GPS or camera fields the JPEG parser found.
  3. Pick an export format. JPEG is usually smallest for photos.
  4. Download the cleaned file and upload that copy, not the original from the camera roll.

Key Features

  • JPEG EXIF/GPS listing when present
  • Canvas export strips EXIF, XMP, and typical app segments
  • Local only — no FlashKit upload
  • Useful before OLX, Facebook Marketplace, or social posts

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this hide my house in the photo?

No. Only metadata. Crop or blur the scene if the pixels show an address.

Is PNG GPS listed?

The detailed GPS parser is JPEG-first. PNG/WebP still lose metadata on export; the list may only show a note.

Will Instagram strip EXIF anyway?

Many networks strip some tags, not all, and not before your draft sits on disk. Clean the file yourself if the location is sensitive.
