Phone scans arrive with one landscape leaf in a portrait pack. Rotating the whole file makes the other 19 pages sideways. FlashKit’s Rotate PDF tool now shows a thumbnail for each page after you add the file. Left, 180°, and right buttons change that page only. The download writes the PDF /Rotate flag. A reader that opens the file after you close this tab still shows the new orientation. The file is not uploaded to FlashKit Tools.

Chrome’s on-screen rotate, Preview’s rotate-without-save, and many phone “PDF viewers” turn pixels for display and forget the turn when you send the original. This page is the other job: a new file whose page dictionary records 90, 180, or 270 (or the counter-clockwise equivalent). Text usually stays selectable because the page is not flattened to a JPEG. If the scan’s pixels are themselves upside down and a rotate flag was already lying, you need an image editor, not another flag.

Step-by-step

  1. Drop the unlocked PDF. Encrypted files fail with a clear error instead of asking for a password in the browser.
  2. Thumbnails load lazily so a 100-page file stays usable — only pages that scroll into view render.
  3. On the sideways page, click left (−90°), 180°, or right (+90°). Other pages stay at 0 unless you touch them.
  4. Click Save rotated PDF. Open the download in a second reader. If it still looks wrong, the viewer may be caching the old file — close that file and open the new one.

Apply the same turn to every page

Use All −90° / 90° / 180° / 270° when the whole scan is sideways. If you have not clicked a thumbnail, the older range field still works (all or 2, 4-6). Frequently asked questions

Is this different from rotating the view in Chrome?

Yes. A viewer rotate is temporary. This tool writes the page /Rotate value into a new PDF. Another phone or printer sees the same orientation.

Can I rotate page 3 left and page 7 180° in one download?

Yes. Use each thumbnail’s buttons. Range mode is ignored once you have clicked a per-page control, so those mixed turns are not overwritten.

Will a digital signature still validate?

Usually not. Any rewrite typically invalidates a cryptographic signature. Rotate a copy of a signed file.
