Video subtitle translator
The workflow is: decode the video, transcribe speech with the in-browser model, then translate lines. Translation is not local — the UI asks for consent before text is sent to Google Translate, MyMemory, or a CORS proxy.
Treat the output as a draft. Idioms, names, and on-screen text will be wrong sometimes. Download SRT/VTT and edit before you publish.
How to Use
- Upload a video your browser can play.
- Run transcription and wait for the cue list.
- Choose the target language and accept the third-party translation notice.
- Edit bad lines, then export subtitles or generate the optional dubbed audio.
Key Features
- Local transcription plus optional network translation
- Editable cue list before export
- Subtitle file download when the run succeeds
- Consent gate before text leaves the browser
Frequently Asked Questions
Is translation private?
Transcription can stay on-device. Translation sends the text to a third-party API after consent. Do not paste confidential speech if that is a problem.
Which subtitle formats can I download?
The tool targets common SRT/VTT-style exports. Always open the file in a player before a client delivery.
Can it dub over the original video perfectly?
Dubbing is best-effort timing. Lip-sync will not match a studio session.
