India GST invoice generator
Freelancers and small businesses can draft a GST-style tax invoice without sending seller, buyer, or line-item data anywhere. Fill names, addresses, optional GSTIN, invoice number and dates, then add HSN/SAC lines with quantity, rate, discount, and a GST 2.0 slab (0, 5, 18, 40%, plus special or custom). Tax splits automatically: CGST + SGST when seller state matches place of supply, IGST when they differ.
Updated for GST 2.0 (rates effective 22 Sep 2025). This is a formatting aid, not tax advice and not GSTN e-invoicing. It does not generate an IRN, a government-signed QR, or a GSTR-1 upload. Confirm every field with a chartered accountant and the official CBIC / GST Council notification before you send or file the PDF.
How to Use
- Enter seller and buyer names, addresses, and GSTIN if registered. The GSTIN field checks the 15-character format (state code + PAN + entity + Z + checksum).
- Set invoice number, date, optional due date, and place of supply. Intra-state (same as seller state) uses CGST+SGST; a different state uses IGST.
- Add line items: description, HSN (goods) or SAC (services), quantity, rate, discount, and GST slab (0, 5, 18, 40%, special 3% / 0.25%, custom, or labeled pre-22-Sep-2025 12% / 28% for old invoices).
- Review taxable value, tax split, nearest-rupee round-off, and amount in Indian words (lakh/crore). Download a client-side PDF, print, or save a draft in localStorage — nothing leaves this device.

Frequently Asked Questions
What must a GST tax invoice contain?
Typical Rule 46 fields include supplier name, address and GSTIN; a consecutive invoice number and date; recipient details and GSTIN when registered; HSN or SAC; description, quantity and taxable value; the tax rate and CGST/SGST or IGST amounts; place of supply for inter-state supplies; and the total. This tool helps you format those fields. It does not decide whether your supply is taxable or which HSN applies.
What GST rates does this invoice tool list?
Current GST 2.0 presets (from 22 September 2025) are 0% (exempt), 5%, 18%, and 40% (specified luxury / sin goods), plus special 3% (gold) and 0.25% (rough diamonds), and custom. 12% and 28% appear only as labeled pre-22-Sep-2025 options for old invoices. Confirm the HSN/SAC with a CA or the official notification.
When is CGST+SGST used instead of IGST?
Intra-state supplies (seller state and place of supply are the same) usually split the slab into CGST and SGST (or UTGST in a Union territory). Inter-state supplies use IGST at the full slab. Place of supply is a legal fact under the IGST Act, not a preference — ask the person who files your returns if you are unsure.
What is the difference between HSN and SAC?
HSN (Harmonized System of Nomenclature) codes classify goods. SAC (Services Accounting Code) classifies services. Put the code that matches the line on the invoice. This generator does not look up or validate HSN/SAC against the tariff.
Does this create a GST e-invoice or IRN?
No. E-invoicing on the Invoice Registration Portal issues an IRN and a signed QR for notified taxpayers. FlashKit never talks to GSTN. Use this PDF only as a draft or a simple bill, then follow your CA or ERP for IRN compliance when it applies.
Is my invoice data stored on FlashKit?
No. Calculations and PDF creation run in this tab. An optional draft is saved only in your browser’s localStorage. Close the tab or clear the draft to drop it.
